Sammy Sosa- Self Hate Is Real

My Hispanic family must realize that you are not your conquers: which includes your last name, the language you speak, & definitely not your religion(identity). You are not from Spain, so how can you be Spanish(Spain-ish). Latin is a ancient language, not a people. Spanish, English, French, & Italian are all forms of Latin. Even the term “Hispanic”, only describes the island of Hispaniola. Which is now known as Dominican Republic & Haiti. When Columbus took possession of the island in 1492, he named it “Isla Española”, meaning “The Spanish Island”, in Spanish.

So if you are none of these terms then who are you?
