Nationbuilding is not about creating a ‘new’ man or a ‘new’ cultural reality using eclectic cultural and ideological borrowings from a panoramic variety of cultural formations and philosophies. For us, nationbuilding is an intergenerational process of progressive but intense denuding ourselves of multi-generational layers of alien values and thinking, and the progressive adoption and immersion of ourselves in the culture and the work of rebuilding.”
